Services in Taranaki
In Taranaki we offer the following services for people referred by the District Health Board’s (DHB) community mental health teams or Tui Ora:
- Housing placement – our housing case workers work alongside people referred from the community mental health teams or Tui Ora, supporting them to find the right housing to meet their needs.
- Tenancy management – as a social landlord, we rent out properties and then tenant them with people in need of housing. As a landlord, you can be assured of guaranteed rent and other benefits (click for link back to landlord page)
- Supported landlord – as a social landlord, we aim to help people sustain their tenancies and access the support they need to live well.
- GP integration service – for people who transition from the DHB’s mental health services to their general practitioner (doctor). We support the person for a period of time while they are under primary care, including support with attending GP visits, medication education and monitoring, working on goals, navigation into other services, home or office visits, and regular engagement.
If you have nowhere to stay tonight or in the next seven days, please contact Work and Income to access emergency housing.
We are also seeking partnerships with landlords and developers in the region, click here to find out more.
